Oman Air Increases Salalah Capacity by 16%
Oman Air increased its capacity to Salalah by 16% year-on-year during the 2026 Khareef season. The airline carried 270,000 passengers to Salalah between mid-June and mid-September. Passenger numbers increased by 9% compared with 2025, with June recording a 24% year-on-year increase.
To meet growing demand, Oman Air operated up to 15 daily flights to Salalah in August. Boeing 787-9 aircraft were deployed on selected additional services to provide extra capacity. The airline also launched three weekly flights between Dubai and Salalah in July, adding more than 4,900 seats per month. Scheduled charter flights between Bahrain and Salalah were also operated in July and August.
Oman Air continues to operate its Dubai-Salalah service following the Khareef season and is working to resume charter flights between Moscow and Salalah. The airline aims to strengthen connectivity to Salalah and the wider Dhofar region while supporting year-round tourism demand.
